Friday night fine dining at Kenza

13:04

Nothing beats a lovely evening out with the sisters after a long, tiresome and draining week at work.

A few Fridays ago i had the pleasure of joining some fab ladies for a meal at Kenza in Liverpool Street, London. When you have the struggles of work, the stresses of life and so on an evening out is just the treat you deserve.  Decent food, great location and a beautiful ambience is what Kenza will provide you with.

All in all i had a lovely evening, mainly due to the company i must add. Read on for a short review of Kenza.

Food; When in a group of more then 4 you need to choose from a set menu (which i think is quite restrictive to be honest) but we decided to go for the £29.99 chicken menu. This included a starter- lots of different mezzes, salads and bread. Chicken and rice for the meal. It also included a desert which was baclava with mint tea.

Drink; I went for a mojito (Non Alcoholic of course) which was delicious and to be honest my favourite part of the meal (lol i'm more into my drinks and deserts really)

Cost;  When it comes to Kenza i feel you are paying for the ambience and location more then anything else. On Friday and Saturday nights there is belly dancing too. So if you like that kinda thing then you may enjoy yourself here. I feel for what you actually eat, Kenza isn't really worth it in all honesty, however if you wish for a nice location and great ambience and are not too fussed about food too much then be sure to check it out. We ended up paying about £45 each, which is not too bad but for that price i do expect to be a little more satisfied with my meal.

Overall i enjoyed my evening but i put that down to the company and ambience more then anything else. I think the food is somewhat average but i left Kenza smiling due to the amazing company and the excellent service provided by staff.

Would i recommend this place;

Yes if you want an entertaining evening in a nice restaurant. No if you want delicious food. The food is average however the ambience is fabulous. Sometimes you can't have everything you want ;)

When in need for a bit of cheering up, i recommend a dosage of the weirdos (yes thats why my lovely  ladies call themselves) who provide a fab and varied conversation ranging from crazy inside jokes that no one else but us will get to the more serious topics of marriage, islam and life. They are a great bunch and i love them. Nothing beats the company of good friends, no matter where you go you will enjoy yourself, i know i did :) xxx
